Our history

The basis for the successful development of ALPHA was formed in 1998. At that time, Dr. Thomas Krause founded a business consulting firm in Chemnitz, which specialized in standardization and optimization in technical education processes. Quickly a new consulting field developed: knowledge and technology transfer in biotechnology, which was advanced together with network partners from the European Union and the Universities of Cambridge and Leicester. Thinking about future technologies and implementing innovative projects has always been a guiding principle at ALPHA.

Rapid growth followed. 2007 then the change of the owner-managed company form and several office expansions. In 2009, with the Sayda project, a first project with an individual volume of around one billion euros was supported. The cooperation in regulatory commissions, the further development of standards and the transparency in technology transfer represented a part of ALPHA’s work.

As of 2012, customers from more than 10 European countries could already be served. Today, there are customers from all continents and almost all industrialized countries.
